Huawei Presents HiQ Cloud Service.  Looking to promote quantum computing breakthroughs via academia and industrial sector partners, Huawei has opened its HiQ quantum cloud computing environment.

The environment permits a simulated quantum computer for up to 42 qubits at maximum computing capacity.  Its environment integrates with ProjectQ, “an open-source software framework for quantum computing started at ETH Zurich.  It allows users to implement their quantum programs in Python…then translate these programs to any type of back-end, be it a simulator run on a classical computer or an actual quantum chip.”  Huawei claims the environment will be fully open to the public as an enabling platform for quantum research and learning.
